Yes Spring is here, which means rain, rain and more rain…but at least the temperature is going up and the flowers coming out! They are so beautiful especially around my house and the best thing is that I never planted them since the 3 years we’ve been here! They just seem to bloom by themselves, which is a great thing about bulbs! Heres what my front entrance look like now!
And the delicate perfume coming from the tree each time I walk past is just beautiful! Speaking of view, I was surprised the other day when I looked up and saw through our bay windows… a horse in our back yard!
Forgive the state of our back garden, I haven’t had time to prepare it for planting as all my time is spent making cards now! Speaking of which, heres a card I made to reflect the rain we’re getting everyday. I just bought the stencil last week at a craft fair in Stuttgart and was dying to use it! All the other stamps came from my good friend Rachel who was my craft drug mule as she lugged back tons of stamps I ordered in the US and got sent to her while she was there! Thanks again Rachel!
I stamped the flower umbrella and mice from Penny Black’s hugs! stamp set, in 2 different colours and then embossed the flower before painting it in with my Tombow pens and brush. I painted the mice using a water pen and my tombow pens on a plastic sheet. Heres how I learnt it. The border was cut with the Memory Box Kensington border from a sheet of paper I had sponged with Heike Schafer Metal effect cream. It actually has some grainy shiny effect on it! The text comes from Funny Bones and when I saw it I immediately thought of my daughter and her friends so I had to buy it!
I entered this card in the following challenges:
